Charter Day School Wins Second Place in State Archery Finals

The Charter Day School Archery Team won second place in the 2020 North Carolina NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) Tournament. Charter Day School competed against 11 other teams.

Daryl LaFave, Charter Day School’s Archery Coach, commented, “We are so proud of what our students accomplished! We have a great team that works hard, supports each other, and is more than the sum of its parts. Charter Day School continually teaches character building and it’s great to see those values inspire our students.”

Charter Day School is one of four charter schools managed by The Roger Bacon Academy, Inc. founded in 1999 by education pioneer Baker Mitchell. The other schools include Douglass Academy in Wilmington, Columbus Charter School in Whiteville, and South Brunswick Charter School in Southport with a combined enrollment of over 2,100 students in K-8.
