Charter Day Students Learn CPR

Gracelynn Bruno, Lydia Dyson, Jordyn Semidey-Durbino and Allie Caddell (from left to right), third-grade students at Charter Day School in Leland, get a hands-on lesson on the basics of providing CPR in a medical emergency. The life-saving lesson was provided to all students in grades 3 through 8 by New Hanover County Paramedic Zech Luce. The tuition-free school managed by the Roger Bacon Academy provided this program for the second straight year. Students gained confidence to give fellow students help, if needed, said Rachel Stroup, Elementary School Headmaster.
